Julie Andrews, Shonda Rhimes, Victorian-era TV…these are a few of my favorite things.
The series follows the scandalous lives of London’s high society:
You may think this is an exaggeration, but ’tis not! Lady Whistledown — voiced by Madame Julie Andrews — is a Regency-era Gossip Girl who writes about all the saucy scandals and affairs in her column.
“The social season is upon us. We shall discover which young ladies might succeed at securing a match,” Lady W. continues in her voice over.
“Let it be know…if there’s a scandal…I shall uncover it…and share every last detail.”
Because it’s Shonda, I know we’re in store for some DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA!
As mentioned, there are ~scandals~:
There are ~heated looks~:
And there are WIGS, WIGS, WIGS galore:
So, hold on to your corsets, because Bridgerton drops on Netflix on December 25 — this is TRULY Shonda’s gift to us ALL!
