James Corden revealed what he and Orlando Bloom told Ivanka Trump after a few drinks at a wedding.
James Corden is opening up about the special edition of “Carpool Karaoke” he filmed with Kanye West that took place on a plane.
During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” the late night host walked through the challenging process of confirming plans with the rapper, which included multiple last-minute cancellations.
“This was actually the third time that we had tried to do a sort of ‘Carpool Karaoke’ with Kanye,” Corden explained. “The first time he agreed and then he canceled a few days later, and you’re like, ‘Well, that’s a shame, but it’s fine.’ The second time that Kanye canceled ‘Carpool Karaoke’ was so late in the day that I was driving up his road in the car, with all the cameras, and got this phone call saying it’s been canceled… and I think I basically turned around outside his house and drove back to the studio.”
Then West texted Corden saying he wanted to do the segment with the whole choir on a bus or truck in Los Angeles, but complicated things by wanting to do it in just a few days.
“Well that’s difficult, because we need to get a truck and permits. The choir I think is 150 people,” Corden said. “(But) we set about trying to make it happen. And then they’re like, Monday’s not going to happen, Wednesday.”

As Corden and his team tried to nail down details, however, they heard nothing from West’s camp.
“Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. someone sends an email saying it’s not going to happen today,” Corden recounts. “We were like, yeah, no (expletive) it’s not going to happen today.”
He continued, “Then, this is where he’s brilliant. He just then goes, I want to do it on an airplane… Great, why not. Let’s do it on a spaceship. To his credit, he and his team gets the plane.”
Despite all the challenges, the result was unforgettable for Corden.
“Being on that plane, surrounded by that choir, sitting with him,” he said. “I’ll never, ever forget what that choir sounded like on that airplane. It was an astonishing thing and I really thought, this is a once in a lifetime thing that I’ll never ever forget. It was an incredible moment.”
He also quipped that he was “close” to turning his life over to Jesus after the experience.
